dc.description.abstractCrab shelters made of B-net pompoms were observed to be effective in enhancing the survival of mangrove crabs according to the initial results of the study jointly conducted by the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute-Brackishwater Fisheries Research and Development Center (NFRDI-BFRDC) and the BFAR-National Center in Pagbilao, Quezon. The nursery rearing technology and protocols that SEAFDEC-AQD has initially proven are currently being tested for their suitability for mangrove crab nurseries reared in net cages in brackishwater ponds at Lala, Lanao del Norte.
