Abstract
To detect the presence of parasites in the aquatic species of the Cagayan River system that can potentially infect humans and negatively affect its fishery resources, a collaborative project between the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and the DA-National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (DA-NFRDI) is being implemented together with DA-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region 2 and Dr. Misako Urabe of the University of Shiga Prefecture, Japan.
