Abstract

The very first Virtual Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) was conducted on May 18, 20, and 21, 2021, where 28 employees composed of 57% female and 43% male had participated. This is the first of the two batches for this year. Atty. Mylen Gonzales-Esquivel from the Philippine Commission on Women Gender Resource Pool is the resource person for the training. Among the things she discussed were about how sex and gender affected gender roles, how gender biases are manifested, what causes these biases that lead to gender issues, and the actions that the government is undertaking to promote gender equality.
